Charity Graff is a gifted therapist and practitioner. She is a wife, mother of six (2 adopted), and a gifted musician. Charity brings much experience to Life Switch Coaching & Counselling.
As a practitioner she can:
- Provide one-on-one therapeutic sessions to children, actively listening, empathizing, and facilitating discussions to address their emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs.
- Lead group therapy sessions, creating a safe and supportive environment for participants to share experiences, build connections, and develop coping skills.
- Apply play therapy methods to engage children and adolescents in therapeutic activities, helping them express emotions, resolve conflicts, and develop healthy behaviors.
- Work with children with special needs (hearing impaired, non-verbal, intellectual disabilities) and other individual differences.
- Use DIR Floor time methods to engage and assist children and teens with ASD and trauma disorders
- Assess clients’ needs and goals, creating personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique circumstances and therapeutic objectives.
- Provide immediate support and intervention during crisis situations.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals, educators, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care and support for clients.
- Work with families and children both pre and post-adoption from difficult circumstances
Charity’s education and training includes:
- Bachelor of Science, 2012
- Master of Social Work (Cum Laude), 2012
- PhD in Holistic Child Development, expected 2025
- Many certifications in psychotherapy, DIR, Trauma, play, and vulnerable sector training.
